The selected women, minorities and veterans go through an intensive training program on several technology areas like programming, testing, analytics, cyber security, business analysis, big data, etc.

At the graduation ceremony, UST Global leaders were accompanied by Mark Esposito, CIO, The Hartford; Kimberley Paul, CTO, CareCentrix; and Cigna Deputy CISO, Chris Lockery.

BG Moore, Chief of Staff, UST Global, added “At UST Global, we are continuously working towards transforming the lives of women, minorities and veterans by empowering them through career in technology. Many congratulations to the students and we wish them great success in their career ahead.”

Chris Lockery, Deputy CISO, Cigna, added, “Cyber security is a top priority for us because digital is a key enabler of Cigna's mission to improve the health, well-being and sense of security of the millions of people we serve around the globe. We are looking forward to developing these talented local people from the Step IT Up America program to help bring our mission to life by building and maintaining the trust of our customers and clients to handle their most sensitive information.”

Kimberley Paul, CTO, CareCentrix, said, “Data is at the core of everything CareCentrix does to help people heal and age at home. Being a part of UST Global’s Step IT Up America program to advance the careers of veterans in the areas of business analytics, data security and big data programming, furthers an important cause of getting patients the right care, at the right place and at the right cost. These graduates exemplify the true meaning of service for the well-being of others and will undoubtedly continue to use their skills to help advance those technologies. Congratulations to all the graduates.”

Renuka Thulasidharan Premaja, Head – Step IT Up America, UST Global, said, “Information technology jobs are the largest STEM job creators in America and around the world. Yet women, minorities and veterans are severely underrepresented in this sector. To address this, we have our unique and sustainable workforce model that provides the necessary skills and fills this lack of diversity. We are grateful to our client partners who came forward and will be employing the graduates.”
